Our church is blessed to have 3 full-time pastors.
Born and raised in O’Neill Nebraska, Ethan is glad to be back living “the Good Life”, and honestly, while "it’s not for everyone", the Wiekamps sure love it here! Ethan and Terah, have been married since 2003 and have four children who keep them on their toes at all times. As a family they are very involved in the community and enjoy spending time participating in activities with church, Boy Scouts, sports, music, drama, and volunteering. We love being outdoors - hiking, camping, fishing, sledding, etc. – and most weekends you can find us in search of our next great adventure. Both Ethan and Terah are lifelong Husker fans, and Ethan admits to feeling a twinge of failure when, after spending 4 years in Texas, his 5 year old saw a picture of Scott Frost and said, “Who’s that Daddy?”
Both Ethan and Terah came to faith in Christ at an early age and were raised in Bible believing churches by mature Christian parents - Ethan's family attended Faith Community in O'Neill and Terah's family attended Butte Community Bible church where her Dad has been the senior pastor since 1995. Ethan and Terah were on staff with Cru in Nebraska from 2003-2015 where they went from interns to senior staff to the Nebraska State Directors overseeing 20+ ministries on college campuses around the state of Nebraska. From 2015-2019 Ethan served as the President and CEO of the global ministry to graduate students - Grad Resources - which was affiliated with Cru and InterVarsity, and headquartered in the Dallas Texas area.
In 2019, Ethan and Terah felt a call from the Lord to come back to Nebraska as they felt a burden to be part of reaching rural Nebraska for Christ, similar to how God had used them with Cru, and hoped to be part of a church planting movement with the Citylight family of churches where Ethan served as an Executive Pastor with Citylight Lincoln from 2020-2021 while Terah served as a senior minister with Refresh women's mentoring, based out of Omaha. In the Spring of 2021, Ethan and Terah felt like God was opening the door to Faith Community and that the call He had put on their lives in 2019 to be part of reaching rural Nebraska for Christ was coming to a culmination in the opportunity to pastor in O'Neill, while Terah could still serve in her ministerial role with Refresh.
Paul Harder was born in Congo, Africa and grew up with two brothers and two sisters. Although born in Africa to missionary parents, he spent the majority of his growing up years in Omaha, Nebraska. Paul put his trust in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age, through the witness of his father and mother.
Paul returned to Congo with his parents for his last two years of high school. God dramatically used those two years to broaden Paul's vision of the world, and plant the seed of full-time vocational Christian work in his heart. With this in mind, Paul attended Grace University in Omaha, majoring in history, philosophy and Bible.
Paul and Ruth were married and then moved to Dallas, Texas where Paul pursued further biblical training at Dallas Theological Seminary. Majoring in Old Testament, Paul graduated in May 1981, with his Master of Theology degree. In June of 1981, Paul and Ruth accepted the call to be pastor of the O'Neill Berean Church. Later, in 1984, when the Berean Church merged with Faith Community, he was asked to remain and pastor the new church. Paul has been responsible for the main teaching of the Body, but at this time is transitioning into the role of Care Pastor. His primary responsibilities will include visitation, administration, and occasional pulpit fill.
During these years, Paul, Ruth, and the church body have been privileged to see God work in great ways. It is our prayer that God will continue to change lives for His glory, and that by His grace, Faith Community will produce faithful, humble and obedient servants of Jesus Christ.
Paul and Ruth have 3 married daughters and 11 grandchildren that they find great delight in.
Jamie Lindsay was born and raised in England. With both parents firmly rooted in their faith, he was drawn to the love of Christ at an early age. After graduating High School in England, he moved to the United States for college to attend Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he majored in youth ministry and Biblical studies. In 2004, one week after graduating from Grace, he married Amber. God has blessed them with 4 children, Mia, Reagan, Levi, and Whitney.
Throughout his college years, he volunteered and interned at Brookside Church, working first with the Junior High and later with the High School. It was here that he put the skills learned in college to work. Ministering to those kids not only developed the skills he learned in college, but also increased his passion for communicating the love of Christ to youth. Knowing that God had called them to full-time ministry, they were led to Faith Community Church in August of 2006.
While working at Faith Community Church, Jamie had a desire to further develop his ability to serve youth. As a result, he pursued and graduated with a Master of Christian Leadership degree from Liberty University. Jamie and Amber have been blessed beyond belief in their time at Faith Community Church and look forward to serving here in the years to come. The desire of their hearts is to reach youth for the glory of Christ. They want to be faithful servants by following Him in this adventure and challenge He has placed before them.
