Small Groups

Small groups are the key to getting connected and growing spiritually here at Faith Community.

The reason they are so important is that we believe spiritual growth flows out of two basic commitments:

  • A commitment to God and the Bible
  • A commitment to significant Christian relationships

To help develop these significant relationships, we have created "Small Groups". A small group is a place where 10-15 people can get together to study the Bible, and share, interact, and encourage each other concerning their relationship with God. They generally meet during the children's Sunday School hour (9:15-10:15 a.m.), either at the church, the Youth Center, in a home, or some other location around the city of O'Neill. It is our hope that these small groups will be a place where the "one-anothers" of the New Testament (pray for one another, encourage one another, build up one another, love one another...etc.), can occur, and we believe they are so important that it is our ultimate goal to have every member of our church involved in a Small Group.

  • B.A.S.I.C. - a group of 20-30 year old's; led by Alex & Mary Brookhouser and Issac & HollyAnn Wright; meet in the Living Stones Room; current study: ‘Fresh Air’ by Chris Hodges.

  • Bible Log - a group of 60 year old's; led by John Nickless; meet in Room 110; current study: The Parables.

  • Connection - a group of 30 year old's; Paul & Katrina Andrews; meet in Room 106; current study: Ray Vander Laan series.

  • Cross Training - a group of 30-45 year old's; led by Cody & Ashley Boettcher and Matt & Heidi Ehlers; meet in Room 107; current study: The Reason for God by Timothy Keller.

  • Faith Seekers - a group of 60 year old's and older; led by Wendell & Anne Sitz; meet in Room 108; current study: The 12 Minor Prophets.

  • Firm Foundations - a group of 30-50 year old's; led by Trent & Tiffani Shoemaker; meet in Room 105; current study: The Chosen.

  • Happy Campers - a group of 50 year old's and older; led by Scotty & Toby Clark and Randy & Cyndi Kersch; meet in Room 111; current study: The Chosen, Season 2.

  • Mountain Climbers - a group of 50 year old's and older; led by Don & Joan Forker; meet in Room 109; current study: Book of Psalm.

  • Prospectors - a group of 50 year old's and older; led by Jim & Jody Fuchtman; meet in Room 301; current study: Rediscovering Church by Collin Hansen and Jonathan Leeman.

  • Study of the Spirit (S.O.S) - a group of 60 year old's and older; led by Dick & Lois Fitch; meet at the Fitch’s Home; current study: ‘Colossians’ by Warren Wiersbe.
